The centre, which opened on the 27th of February 2004, serves about 15,000 people, is fully operational and is managed by the non-profit Association Care the people.

Raising funds through the AICU 2006 “November solidarity”, used by the RISEAL directed by Dr. Bertrand Sellin with the supervision of WHO for the treatment of schistosomiasis and helminthiasis among children of Madagascar.

With the funds provided by AICU, all school-age children (and their teachers) from two northern provinces of Vietnam (Bac Giang and Bac Ninh) were deparasitised twice in the school year 2006-2007 and educated on the prevention of infections.

Participation in the organization and funding of cooperation health project for the
training of Italian operators (doctors, nurses, lab technicians) and developing countries in the field of tropical diseases.
The training project will be carried out in collaboration with the Ivo de Carneri Fundation. Duration 2 years for 30 participants.

Assistance and treatment of people with diabetes and its consequences in the region of South-Kiwu ub tge Democratic Republic of Congo where this disease is a serious health problem for thousands of people.
The funded project will be carried out in collaboration with the Congregation of the Missionaries of Mary-Saveriane.
