BEQUEST AND INHERITANCE A bequest in favour of AICU signifies contributing annually to safeguard the health and lives of children and adults in developing countries who struggle every day against diseases which are preventable for us westerners but rather difficult for them to combat. The bequest in favour of AICU also means financing courses in the field of infectious and parasitic diseases to be held in Italy and/or abroad, for doctors and workers resident and operating in developing countries. Finally, it signifies to direct, as much as possible, the choices of pharmaceutical companies and, consequently, their willingness, in finalising the research on essential medicines and to supply the populations and villages recommended by the association.
They are all projects that will take place also, and above all, thanks to the kindness of those who commit themselves today with a bequest or inheritance. Bequest Making a bequest is simple because it is clearly sufficient to express in a clear way ones own wish with a “holographic” will (i.e. written by ones own hand, dated and signed, which can be deposited, for greater protection, at a public solicitors) or “public” (i.e. prepared by a solicitor in the presence of two witnesses and made public after the death of the testator). Insurance policy Life insurance is a widespread form of security. The insured can establish that the beneficiary of the policy may be an agency or association.
In this case there is no constraint against the heirs as the sum insured is legally considered part of the estate.
Each of the two types are revocable at any time. A “living” donation With a public deed in the presence of a solicitor and two witnesses, a sum or an asset is donated to AICU, which is immediately available. How to do it If you are planning to nominate AICU in a will, or to donate now, please let us know by communicating your wish to
mauro@aicu.it . The decisions are not in any case binding and you can change your mind at any time.
